Ban on contraceptives in Afghanistan: Taliban said- this is a conspiracy to stop the Muslim population; Cleaning up afterwards – no ban on contraceptives!
The Taliban in power in Afghanistan have banned the sale of
contraceptives. According to terrorist organizations, it is a conspiracy of
western countries to stop the growing population of Muslims. Western countries
do not want the Muslim population to increase.
According to British newspaper 'The Guardian', Taliban terrorists are
going door to door threatening women not to use these contraceptives to prevent
pregnancy. Medical stores are also being searched so that the sale of these
contraceptives can be stopped.
On the other hand, the Taliban have called the ban on contraceptives
wrong. Talking to Saudi newspaper 'The National', the Taliban Health Ministry
said – Regular inspection of medical stores is done. The reports of the British
media are wrong. We did not ban the sale of contraceptives.
Threats to owners of medical stores
Apart from 'The Guardian', 'The Daily Mail Online' has also released a
report on this new act of Taliban. The owner of a medical store said – At
present, the sale and use of contraceptives has been banned in two cities. The
Taliban came to my store and threatened me at gunpoint. He said- Do not keep
contraceptive pills or other items in the store. In Kabul, every medical store
is being checked.
One woman said – If other women are instigated to promote the use of
contraceptives, the result will not be good. This is a conspiracy of the
western world, they do not want our population to increase. Notices have been
put up in Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif that no medical shop should stock
contraceptives. These include contraceptive pills and injections like Depo Provera.
The terrorist organization that captured the Afghanistan government on 15
August 2021 has imposed many restrictions on women. He was barred from pursuing
higher education. Women's higher schools, colleges and universities have
already been closed. There is also a ban on their job and leaving the house
alone. Now the use of contraceptives has also been banned.
the risk of death will increase
According to the report, the health care
system in Afghanistan is only in name. Here one out of 14 women dies due to
pregnancy related issues. Afghanistan ranks first among the countries in the
world where giving birth to a child is considered the most dangerous for a woman.
The special thing is that the Taliban has not
officially issued any statement regarding the ban on contraceptives. When he
was questioned on this, no answer came from there. When the Taliban terrorists
present in the streets of Kabul were questioned about this, they said –
Contraceptives are a conspiracy of the West. We will not let it succeed.
Zainab, 17, got married two years ago. She is
scared of this ban. They already have an 18-month-old daughter. She says- I had
to leave the school myself. Even the daughter will not be able to study. The
last hope has also been shattered. We are suffocating here. Young woman Shabnam
said - they had already snatched everything. Now even human rights are being
snatched away.
What did the Taliban leader say?
Talking to 'The Guardian', Taliban leader Ustad
Faridoon, who lives in Kandahar, said – Contraceptives are sometimes necessary
for women's health. It has also been said in Sharia that they can be used if
there is a threat to the life of the woman. That's why it is not right to ban
these contraceptives completely.
The Taliban implemented a gender segregation plan
last month in Afghanistan's western Herat province. Under this, men are not
allowed to eat with family members in the family restaurant. Apart from this,
men and women are also not allowed to go to the park together. This rule has
also been applied to husband and wife.
